Sneezing when going from a dark room to bright light has a genetic basis, researchers have found.

The condition, called photic sneezing, affects about one in four people and has been traced to a single letter change in one spot in our DNA.

Despite these findings however, researchers still don't know why the condition evolved in the first place.
