Rice Brown Planthopper - page 11

The most important single point one has to learn from the biography of
Dr Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam, former President of India is
that “whatever job he was entrusted throughout his career, irrespective
of its magnitude and stature he has executed each one with complete
sincerity, devotion and dedication, without ego, with the body, mind, heart
and soul together. That is how a poor Muslim boy moving on the sands
of Rameshwaram sea shore at the southern tip of Indian peninsula could
reach “Rashtrapathi Bhavan” the heart of India. It is always worthy to
follow such great souls.
About the indescribable glory of God, it is said in the scriptures as “If
Goddess Saraswathi, the Goddess of learning, wishes to describe the“Glory
of The Infinite Lord” by using the entire earth surface as sheet, the entire
water in rivers and oceans as ink and innumerable tree trunks and hillocks
as pens, still She cannot do justice to the job.” In a similar manner, it is
impossible for any single individual to unearth the entire literature on BPH
which is akin to a huge mountain. Instead of digging the mountain and
describing the anatomy of the whole literature, the author has adopted
an approach of describing the scenic beauty of that huge mountain of
literature in simple words and style as it is useful today and projecting
more into the important future, of course always keeping the author’s
own contribution in the centre.
The author expresses his indebtedness to M/S Sophia Publishers, Canada
and all the people concerned for giving this wonderful opportunity of
writing a book on “Rice Brown Planthopper- A Global Scenario” an
aspect of tremendous international importance today.
