indica
cultivars
(Thomson
et
al.,
2010a;
Platten
et
al.,
2013),
It
is
a
landrace
in
it
native
origin
(Saudi
Arabia)
which
might
have
accumulated
a
lot
of
introgression
from
many
distant
relatives
of
rice
resulting
in
the
50%
polymorphic
rate
in
the
study;.
In
addition,
the
heterozygous
alleles
observed
in
the
parental
survey
might
be
due
to
the
alleles
located
in
unknown
regions
such
as
indels
in
the
genome
making
it
impossible
for
the
SNPs
to
detect
it.
Analysis
of
QTLs
for
salt
tolerance
has
been
reported
by
different workers
(Flowers
et
al.,
2000;
Prasad
et
al.,
2000;
Tuan
et
al.,
2000;
Koyama
et
al.,
2001;
Bonilla
et
al.,
2002; Masood
et
al.,
2004;
Lin
et
al.,
2004;
Ren
et
al.,
2005;
Lee
et
al.,
2007,
Haq
et
al.,
2010).
In
our
study,
the
seven
QTL
associated
to
salt
tolerance
were
clustering
on
3
chromosomes
(1,
2
and
6)
