reasearch in any of the numerous, potential types of
mollusk farming are needed including the costs, prices,
and economic viability of mollusks farms based on
species, location, technology, scale, and regulations
(NOAA, 2008); as well as a need to increase human
resources and technology in order to obtain optimum
and sustainable outcomes in an increase of the
national economies.
Lastly, mollusks deserve more serious attention from
government agencies and other stakeholders, so it is
important to build favorable communication among
the stakeholders
for updating and controlling the
research and activities due to develop mollusks as
major commodity in Indonesia.
