This result is better than the past records, indicating that comprehensive care can indeed make patients better (Figure 2) (Quadir et al., 2022; Bedingfield et al., 2023). Similarly, in Shenzhen, China, replacing traditional face-to-face medication watching (DOT) with video-based medication watching (VOT) enables more patients to take their medicine on time. As a result, more patients are cured and fewer people stop taking their medicine halfway (Wang, 2024). Figure 2 Rehabilitation care for 8-12 weeks for patients and family members after diagnosis (Adopted from Bedingfield et al., 2023) 5.2 The specific improvement of patients' cooperation and rehabilitation effects by comprehensive nursing methods Comprehensive nursing methods are the key to improving patients' cooperation and therapeutic effects in treatment. A study compared on-demand comprehensive treatment with family-guided treatment and found that comprehensive treatment was significantly higher than family-guided treatment in terms of timely follow-up rate (96.1% vs. 88.1%), medication compliance (95.9% vs. 86.7%), and treatment success rate (96.6% vs. 86.7%) (Guo et al., 2020). In addition, the participation of pharmacists in tuberculosis management has improved the standardization, safety and overall efficacy of medication, and the success rate has increased from 72% to 93%. The application of video supervised medication (VOT) also shows that the number of missed doses by patients has decreased, the degree of medication cooperation has significantly improved, and the cost of round-trip medical treatment has been reduced at the same time (Yuen et al., 2022). 5.3 The positive impact of medical staff participation on the comprehensive nursing effect The participation of doctors and nurses is particularly important for the success of comprehensive nursing. Facts have proved that this is particularly beneficial for treating drug-resistant tuberculosis patients. By having more contact with patients, providing psychological counseling, and visiting them at home, doctors and nurses can make patients more willing to take medicine and increase the chance of curing the disease (Pradipta et al., 2023). In addition, a study on large hospitals helping small clinics found that direct communication between nurses in hospitals and small clinics, cross-team assistance (matrix support), and nursing consultation can make patient care more effective and patients more cooperative in taking medicine (Kuupiel et al., 2019). Medical staff have a very positive evaluation of video-watching medication (VOT)-92% of them think it is more convenient than the traditional face-to-face video-watching medication (DOT) - all of which indicate that the participation of doctors and nurses plays a significant role in managing tuberculosis. 6 Difficulties and Countermeasures in Implementing Comprehensive Nursing for Tuberculosis 6.1 Common difficulties in implementing the comprehensive nursing model for tuberculosis patients When providing comprehensive care for tuberculosis patients, many problems always arise. One major problem is that too few patients are found, while too many patients disappear during treatment (LTFU). For instance, in the
