International Journal of Clinical Case Reports, 2025, Vol.15, No.3, 120-129 http://medscipublisher.com/index.php/ijccr 123 3.3 Strategies for enhancing patient engagement and reducing treatment interruptions At present, some methods have been found that can make patients more willing to cooperate with the treatment and reduce treatment interruptions. Electronic reminder tools, such as text message reminders and video supervision of medication (VOT), have shown remarkable effects in helping patients take their medication on time and reducing the risk of treatment failure (Wen et al., 2020). In addition, direct observation therapy (DOT) practices carried out in the community have been proven to be more effective than DOT practices only conducted in hospitals, as it takes into account the convenience of patients more, increases their willingness to take medication, and reduces the number of patients lacking follow-up visits (Iskandar et al., 2023). Providing life assistance measures such as material help and emotional support is also very important for maintaining patients' cooperation in treatment and reducing treatment interruptions. 4 The Role of Medical Staff in Comprehensive Tuberculosis Care and Training Needs 4.1 The importance of health personnel's participation in the comprehensive management of tuberculosis patients Medical staff play a crucial role in the care of tuberculosis patients, especially in poor and middle-income countries where the number of tuberculosis patients is the largest. The participation of doctors, nurses, caregivers and informal medical staff is crucial for the early detection of patients, accurate diagnosis of the condition and effective treatment of tuberculosis. Studies show that medical staff are usually the first medical role that patients come into contact with, which makes them significant in the diagnosis and treatment process of patients (Wu et al., 2017). Involving all relevant medical staff (including non-regular medical staff) in tuberculosis treatment can significantly improve the treatment effect and help countries achieve national and global tuberculosis prevention and control goals (Thapa et al., 2021). 4.2 The impact of tuberculosis nursing professional training on improving the skills of medical staff Specialized training in tuberculosis is very important for improving the ability and knowledge of doctors and nurses. In fact, such training courses can enhance how much doctors and nurses know and can do, thus enabling better management of tuberculosis. For instance, in a study in China, the training on multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) significantly enabled doctors and nurses to understand more and remember it after one year (Thapa et al., 2022). The same is true in India. Training programs designed for informal doctors have enabled them to make significant progress in tuberculosis care knowledge and practical work (Wu et al., 2019). However, the training effect may be different. In order to keep the treatment of tuberculosis improving, it is necessary to frequently check whether these training programs work and make changes when necessary. 4.3 Technical support and resources required for medical staff to implement comprehensive nursing If doctors and nurses want to provide comprehensive care for tuberculosis patients, they need sufficient technical assistance and materials. This includes equipping with disease diagnosis tools, formulating appropriate treatment plans, and obtaining opportunities for further education and learning. Research indicates that continuous support must be provided to fill knowledge gaps and ensure the correct application of tuberculosis treatment methods (Bedingfield et al., 2023). Just like in Bangladesh, despite the training carried out, many doctors and nurses are still not quite clear about how to prevent and control tuberculosis, which indicates that a more complete support system is needed. In addition, doctors and nurses in Canada believe that providing continuous care for patients and explaining precautions to them and their families in an easy-to-understand way is particularly important for good tuberculosis care. Only by ensuring that doctors and nurses can obtain the necessary supplies and receive strong support can comprehensive tuberculosis care achieve good results. 5 Case Study on the Practical Application of Comprehensive Nursing in Tuberculosis Management 5.1 Case study: rehabilitation of pulmonary tuberculosis patients under comprehensive nursing The comprehensive nursing model works very well in helping tuberculosis patients recover. For instance, a study on drug-resistant tuberculosis patients in Pakistan found that a comprehensive care program including psychological assistance and food subsidies achieved a cure rate of 88%, while the rates of failure to cure and
