This process includes the application of post-surgery data for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and data from the national stroke database (Adapted from Sun et al., 2021) 5.3 Construction and development of personalized dietary databases Building a comprehensive personalized dietary database platform is essential for the effective integration of TCM constitution characteristics with modern dietary therapy. Such a database would compile extensive information on various constitution types, dietary preferences, and health outcomes, enabling the development of tailored dietary plans. This platform would serve as a valuable resource for both practitioners and patients, facilitating the implementation of personalized dietary interventions. The application of TCM constitution theory in public health management has already shown promising results, underscoring the importance of individualized approaches in disease prevention and health maintenance (Li et al., 2019; Li et al., 2020). By systematically collecting and analyzing data on constitution-specific dietary responses, the database can continuously evolve and improve, providing increasingly accurate and effective dietary recommendations. In summary, the integration of AI, IoT, and personalized dietary databases represents a significant advancement in the field of TCM constitution identification and modern dietary therapy. These technologies not only enhance the precision and reliability of TCM diagnostics but also enable the development of highly personalized and effective dietary interventions, ultimately contributing to better health outcomes and disease prevention. 6 Challenges in Integrating TCM Constitution Identification with Dietary Therapy 6.1 Standardization issues in constitution identification One of the primary challenges in integrating Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) constitution identification with dietary therapy is the lack of standardization and scientific validation in TCM constitution identification. TCM constitution theory, which categorizes individuals based on their physical and psychological characteristics, lacks a universally accepted standard for classification and diagnosis. This variability can lead to inconsistencies in identifying constitution types, thereby affecting the reliability and effectiveness of dietary interventions. For instance, in a randomized trial involving hypertensive patients, the constitution assessment was conducted by TCM practitioners trained to improve inter-rater reliability, highlighting the need for standardized training and
