Combining Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) constitution identification with modern personalized dietary therapy not only enhances individual health management capabilities but also improves the effectiveness of dietary interventions. This study introduces the current status of integrating TCM constitution identification with modern personalized dietary therapy and explores the progress of their application in health promotion and disease management. By analyzing the methods of combining TCM constitution classification with personalized dietary design, it presents the application of modern technologies in constitution identification and dietary therapy planning, and evaluates existing clinical research. It also proposes future research directions and challenges. The study found that integrating TCM constitution identification with modern personalized dietary therapy can lead to more precise health intervention plans, promoting the development of personalized health management. This research provides a theoretical foundation for the interdisciplinary integration of TCM and modern nutrition science and lays the groundwork for further promotion and international development of personalized health management models. One of the core concepts in TCM is the identification of individual body constitutions, which are believed to influence a person's health, disease susceptibility, and response to treatment. TCM constitution identification is a holistic approach that considers both inborn and acquired factors, aiming to tailor health maintenance and disease prevention strategies to the individual's unique body condition. This personalized approach aligns with the emerging paradigm of precision medicine, which seeks to customize healthcare based on individual differences (Li et al., 2019). Personalized dietary therapy, another significant aspect of TCM, uses food as a means to achieve balance and harmony within the body. TCM nutrition emphasizes the importance of the spleen and stomach as the "root" of post-heaven and promotes the idea that medicine and food share a common origin (Hou and Jiang, 2013). Despite its long history, TCM nutrition faces challenges in gaining acceptance within the framework of modern Western medicine due to its theoretical complexity and lack of evidence-based research (Zhao et al., 2020). However, the integration of TCM nutrition with modern dietary principles holds promise for enhancing the scope and effectiveness of dietary interventions (Gundling et al., 2000). The integration of TCM constitution theory with modern dietary therapy is increasingly recognized as a valuable approach to personalized health management (Wang, 2012). Recent studies have highlighted the potential benefits of constitution-based dietary interventions in managing chronic conditions such as hypertension. For instance, a randomized trial demonstrated that TCM constitution-based dietary regimes could achieve favorable clinical outcomes in hypertensive patients, suggesting that such personalized dietary strategies could be more effective
