EC50, the concentration needed to restrain 50% virus
infection compared to untreated infected cells, were
determined directly from the curve obtained by
plotting the inhibition of the virus yield against the
concentration of the samples.
3.6 Statistical analysis
The mean number of viral plaques of two different
experiments was compared with oneway analysis of
variance (ANOVA) using SPSS v11.5. Dunnett test
was used as the post hoc test. A P<0.05 was consi-
dered statistically significant.
